We all need places to go, you know. Here are some of my frequently
visited sites. When clicking on a link, it should open in a new
window. I don't want you leaving my site!

Friends on the Web

 |
Bill
- Prepare for lots of pictures of DVD and album cover
art, wrapped in a nice LCARS interface (that's Star Trek
techo-jargon, for you non-trekkies). |
 |
Bob
- One of a number of people I worked with at BP from 95
- 98, Bob has an extensive gallery of photos from when
BP shipped him of to the UK for a year. I don't think
he's updated it since. |
 |
Kevin
- Setec Astromony is Kevin's site, another BP friend.
The site's name which comes from move Sneakers,
and is an anagram for "Too Many Secrets". Kevin's
forums are a place I sometimes frequent, currently under
the userid GIR. |
 |
Matt
- Another BP friend, Matt has recently begun updateing
his site. He was lucky enough to have a relatively rare
surname and mangaed to snag the domain name for himself.
I think the site is mostly for his family's use. |
 |
Ron
- Geomechanic.com, or, the site that will never be
finished. Nice layout and pics though. Ron, whom I both
went to college and worked with, currently resides in
the dreamstate of California. |
 |
Trent
- Once again from the BP days, Trent and I are regualrly
chatting online and yet I never visit his site. I think
that makes him grumpy. But I don't need to see his blog,
since we chat all the time. But you should visit. He wants
the traffic. |
 |
Trevor
- Definately the most family oriented site of my friends.
Well, Trevor is the only one of my friend's listed here
that have kids. Trevor is a old college roomate and fraternity
brother. |

Movies / TV / Radio
|
 |
97X
- WOXY - Oxford, Ohio
Best...Damn...Radio...Station. Ever. |
 |
Cartoon
Network
The best idea for a television station. Ever. Except they
play too much Popeye. No one likes Popeye. |
 |
Adult Swim
From Cartoon Network - and what I watch most on that channel. Check out Futurama, Family Guy, Home Movies, Auqa Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Also lots of cool anime. |
 |
The
Lord of the Rings
My favorite books since I was a kid, now in movie form:
"No imagination necessary." However, Peter Jackson
he done the books justice. Well, except for that Faramir
business. |
 |
|
Humor
|
 |
oddtodd.com
Now world famous, Odd Todd as been living in laid-off
land for some time now. I don't think he is planning on
going back to the daily grudge. Especially since he is
pushing a new book. |
 |
The
Onion
"America's Finest Newsource" IF you haven't
heard of the Onion, you have been living under an internet
rock. Funny news that isn't real news. |
 |
FARK
"It's not news, it's FARK" On the flipside -
and only slightly less known then the Onion - is FARK.
Although their motto is that it is "not news",
it is in fact real news! Readers submit links to stories
- usually with a real-life humorous angle. Also, check
out their Photoshop threads. |
 |
PVPOnline
A comic for gamers and geeks, PVP (Player vs. Player)
beats out 99% of newspaper comics. |
 |
Homestar
Runner
A Flash anmiation site - much funnier once you get to
understand the characters. SO if you don't find it funny
at first, make sure you give it a second try. Check out
Strong Bad's email at the very least. Strong Bad is the
real star of this site. |
 |
Penny
Arcade
Another comic for gamers, Penny Arcade is as funny as
PVP, but be forewarned that they would never make newsprint
because they use the "F" word rather liberally. |
 |
This
Modern World
By Tom Tomorrow. If you've read the free weekly newspaper
in just about any city, then chances are, you've seen
this ultra- liberal (or is it anti-Republican?) comic. |
 |
Queer
Duck
Not for kids. Or Jerry Falwell. Or recent updates. |
 |
|
|
Fan Sites (official and unofficial)
|
 |
petergabriel.com
Peter Gabriel's official website is pretty slick looking
and java heavy. It looks like Flash, but I have yet to
find a Flash movie on it. |
 |
Chalkhills
This unofficial XTC website/mailing list has been around
in one form or another longer then the band's offcial
ones (which has changed with record companies). It probably
also recieves more traffic, and I wouldn't be surprised
if it was favored by the band members. |
 |
Can't
Get Enough Futurama
I ran across this site when doing my DVD review of Futurama,
and it's a great site! Too bad Furturama is doomed though,
but we can all live vicariously through this website. |
 |
Wil
Wheaton Dot Net
Yes, Wesley Crusher (or, for you non-Trekkies, that kid
from Stand By Me). Not a fansite really - Wil actually
runs and updates the site himself. He's made quite a name
for himself in the blogging world. I have to admit to
being one of those Trekkies who thought that Wesley Chrusher
was the root of all evil in The Next Generation. I am
now a convert and worship the former Ensign Wesley Crusher's
blogging abilities. |

Gay Websites
|
 |
The
Human Rights Campaign
HRC is the largest organization in the US that lobbies
for GLBT rights. Most of my time in Saint Louis I did
a lot of volunteer work for them on the Saint Louis Dinner
and in Political Action. |
|
|
GAY.COM
Probably the largest GLBT portal on the Internet, except
maybe for PlanetOut. But they're both owned by the same
conglomo corporation now, so what's the difference really?
I use gay.com for personals (pretty unsucessfully) and
chat rooms. Although I live in Milwaukee now, I still
hang out in the Saint Louis chat room. |
 |
PlanetOut
PlanetOut, another gay portal, whose news
page keeps me abreast of all the important gay news,
from US Supreme Court decisions on GLBT rights to whenever
Elton John takes a crap. |
